The Duke of Wellington has been a grass roots music venue and community hub bringing originality, opportunity, vibrancy and character to the area for decades. Based on experiences of other venues we are concerned that the pubs licence could be threatened if noise complaints arise in the future as a result of the HYDE development next door to us on the former Civic Centre site. The development proposed is largely residential and in very close proximity to our boundaries.

We ask Adur District Council to protect this existing cultural space in line with the latest government advice (paragraph 182 of the National Planning Policy Framework)
