Update: We, of Walk Tallahassee, have made every attempt to procure a volunteer position for Beau Guyott at The Florida Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO) and to this day, Tuesday, May 12, 2020, have yet to receive a response.  This signed petition signifies our request that Beau be allowed to donate his time and help eligible Floridians receive the Florida State Benefits they are due.

Hospitality worker Beau Guyott was laid off due to Covid-19. He is walking over 400 miles to Tallahassee to share stories of Floridians who have been affected by the breakdown of leadership in this state's government with our elected officials.

His mission:

a). Raise serious awareness regarding the faulty and contemptible unemployment situation in this State.

b). Collect stories from individuals and business owners who have been negatively impacted by COVID-19 with an emphasis on the breakdown at the Florida DEO as well as the inability for so many small businesses to secure an SBA “PPP” program and present these in front of State Legislators.

c). Once in Tallahassee volunteer my time at the DEO in any capacity
