8passengers are a family, youtube vlog channel. They have been around since 2015. Ruby and Kevin are the parents of 6 children — Shari (17) Chad (15) Abby (13) Julie (11) Russell (8) and Eve (6) 

Over the past month, several things about this family have come to light. Causing many to look into their parenting methods more closely. 

Several of their sponsors have torn up their contracts due to the nature of what people have found. I personally want them demonetized because of the way they exploit their children. Using puberty, injury and whatever they can scrape together as drama, to get views. 

In a now-deleted video titled 'What we haven't told you' — Chad, their son revealed he had been sleeping on the floor for several months as punishment for tormenting his brother. He has had his room and bed taken off him, and had to sleep on a beanbag for 7 months. 

In the background of several other videos, you can clearly see he has no door on his bathroom or bedroom. Meaning he has no privacy. Which is essential for teenagers. 

Ruby and Kevin also sent him away to a wilderness camp for 10 weeks. A camp that is well known for the appalling treatment of young people. A young man even died there a few years ago. The parents claimed it wasn't a Mormon camp, but people have since researched it and it turns out the camp is in fact Mormon. 

• Eve their youngest daughter had to go without food at school due to her mother wanting her to learn responsibility. She forgot her lunch (after having to make it herself) and her mother refused to bring it to her. Saying she'd have to go hungry for a few hours as a consequence. Baring in mind she was 5yrs old at the time. 

• This also happened with their son, Russell. He forgot his lunch money and Ruby refused to bring him any lunch. Despite being 10 minutes away. He was also young at the time. She said and I quote 'You'll have to ask a friend for some food' and then said it was a hard lesson to learn. 

Ruby has also used going hungry as a punishment in the past. Saying eating dinner is a privilege. She also doesn't give her kids breakfast until they've done their chores in the morning. 

• Their kids, apart from Shari. Have no technology and several of them have stated that they have no friends. Abby and Chad used to have phones but Ruby took them away because of bad grades, which weren't actually bad and won't give them back for a minimum of 6 months. Which is like dangling a carrot in front of their faces. 

Some other instances of neglect:

• Ruby threatened to cut the head off her then 3yr olds teddy, scaring her in the process 

• Ruby throws away her kids possessions whenever she feels like it. No matter if they like them or not. She has been seen throwing away her son's clothes and then making him replace them with his own money. She says her family lives the simple life when in reality, she has 5 bins and a closet full of clothes and a fully redone bedroom and bathroom with a $2000 toilet. When her kids don't even have a proper bed to sleep on and the bare minimum of furniture. 

The emotional abuse these parents put their kids through isnt normal. Ruby has tried to say that her fans are wrong about this but it's clear how miserable her kids are. Her son Chad's body language towards her speaks volumes. 

The parents are currently going on, earning their youtube money from their kids and ignoring everyone else. They released an article last night but it was so full of garbage.
