A growing number of online gaming providers are flooding the market, with games that are not working properly, as a result paying costumors need somekind of support, when the product fails, and the service (entertainment) is not delivered.

These companies hide behind an electronic wall, often ignoring support requests or just answering them with automated responses, that does not adress specific problems.

This often leads to hours and hours of activity being lost, never to be recovered. This is very stressfull for costumors, who have spent long periods of time on these games, only to see everything disappear, and then to experience the service provider just ignore or shrug your problems off. This is not healthy for the population in general, you go to a place and pay for recreational entertainment, and then you are provided with a stress enducing environment, based on faulty products and not the challenge of the game.

So you are left with the feeling of having wasted your scarce recreational time, and on top you get the feeling of being a lesser human being, because you have to accept the abuse from the companies.

Solution is simple, regulate these companies like any other service provider, set standards for what is acceptable in a service provided, and what is not. Set standards for acceptable support, like a maximum of 48 hours reply time on general requests, and a stand by team to help with in-game problems, these often cannot wait 48 hours to be solved.

If this is achieved, online gaming will again be a recreational activity, where EU citizens can relax and enjoy life, instead of being bullied by companies who are only in it for the money.

Oh and tax them, if you are not already doing that.
