The arrest of Pranesh Gautam from Meme Nepal is a huge blow to the practice of free speech in Nepal. The government should know better than arresting the comedian for expressing his views on the internet. The actors and actresses and the movie, Bir Bikram 2 itself, are public figures and are hence, subjected to criticism.

Producer of the movie, Milan Chamling Rai, is clearly a bully and the comedian's commentary falls nowhere near a cybercrime.
