Why this petition matters

Started by Julius Erwin

We are demanding action from the USPA to denounce any and all forms of racism  with in the federation from directors, athletes, coaches, officials, and it's sponsors as it is owed to it's paying members.

We are demanding accountability from the USPA for ALL individuals identified as racists to be punished as strictly as those who break all other USPA rules of conduct and handled with the same severity.

We demand the USPA support lifters in the federation that no longer feel safe because of their identities as they pertain to race, class, religion, and sexual orientation.

We demand the USPA take a definitive stance against racism and work with POC (particularly Black Americans) with in the federation to come up with real actionable solutions to create inclusive spaces for POC in the sport of powerlifting.

We demand that the USPA values its current paying members of color, hold those accused of hateful behavior accountable, and work on encouraging a more diverse and inclusive environment.

We demand the USPA takes a stand against hate and bigotry.  The USPA should be a leader on this topic instead of falling behind and standing on the sidelines in silence.
