Why this petition matters

Started by Perth GBG

The recent announcement of a blanket ban on gel blasters was done without proper consideration of several important factors:

* No proper consultation with actual gelball community representatives.
* Potential harm to mental health of significant numbers of players including: Veterans, the Disabled, Spectrum Disorders, and those with various other health issues.
* Loss of MASSIVE financial opportunities in both legalised sales and licensing.

There is also the HUGE potential for public humiliation of Minister Papalia, WAPOL and WA Labor (See the PR disaster that happened when South Australia tried to ban gel blasters).

We would appreciate the Minister, the Commissioner and the Premier, to reconsider the announced decision for the benefit of the community, and the entire state of WA.

Perth GBG would also appreciate if you would visit our website and submit Your Gelball Story so that we can continue to collate the stories of the real people that are being affected by this announcement.

Help us put a face and a story to this decision so that the Minister, the Commissioner and the Premier can more easily understand the impact of their decision and choose to reconsider.

Thank you!
