As of April 2021, busking in Covent Garden and the West End will be criminalised. We are urging the council to scrap their proposals to make criminals of law-abiding buskers by restricting them to a licensed system in which will reduce the number of viable pitches to a level that will put over a hundred buskers out of work, putting a huge strain on their finances and those of their families.
