There have been repeated accidents at the junction of Flag Meadow Walk and Shrubbery Avenue and clearly measures so far to tackle this problem have failed.

This is a residential area with four schools in the vicinity. The roads are narrow with many parked cars, so travelling much faster than 20mph is inherently dangerous. Drivers often use this route as a cut through to avoid traffic on the main road, often travelling at dangerous speeds.

In order to protect local residents and especially children going to and from school, it is essential to introduce a 20 mph speed limit as well as any appropriate traffic calming measures.
