CURRENTLY, (05/02/2021)

Twitch Affiliates are only allowed 5 Emote Slots at Tier 1. As they attain Subscribers to their channel, emotes are unlocked at levels (essentially subscriber goals!) Once an affiliate channel reaches 50 concurrent subscribers, ALL Emote slots for Tier 1 are unlocked, and all levels are fulfilled. Partners, (as they should), get many more emote slots, 60 total tier 1 to be exact. However, the Gap between 5 and 60 emotes puts Affiliates looking to reach Partner at a downfall, because of the fact that there cease to be goals for Affiliates after reaching 50 Subscribers. The transition from Affiliate to Partner would be much more smooth given that Partners would already have 10 Emotes made from being a previous Affiliate. 

As Twitch is aware, having Emotes as an affiliate is paramount to the growth and success of many channels. Not only this, but unlocking more Emote slots will help give more support and attention to the Twitch Art community, which as we all know, is essential to Twitch. 

The primary goal is to create NEW and MORE goals for Affiliates so that the rewards can be spread out closer to the Path to Partner goals. The Path to Partner should not be empty after reaching 50 Sub Points. Affiliates are at a disadvantage of being in the majority pool of streamers. This will hopefully give them a way to continue to brand themselves, organically grow their channel, and possibly create more revenue by having more emotes to unlock. Additionally, giving Affiliates more goals to attain on their Path to Partner. 

The idea is for it to work in the same manner as it currently does (just with 10 emote slots/goals), requiring affiliates to attain a certain number of CONCURRENT Subscribers, which translates into Subscriber Points, which in turn unlocks more Emote slots.
