All previous sims games have succeeded so well because of the fact that the worlds were more inviting, more interactive and more realistic. We should not be locked to one lot and nor should we be just surrounded by empty shells *cough* the recent southern neighbourhood in Mt Komorebi. 

I am very passionate about this and have been tweeting everyday for 50 days (as of writing this) to get some sort of response from a sim guru or someone higher up. 

This could be implemented into the game through the game settings - giving people the ability to turn it on or turn it off. To enable closed worlds, open neighbourhoods and open world. For those on a lower-end PC, you would be recommended closed worlds to keep your game running smoothly. This obviously means some people won’t have it due to limitations, but having the option there for PC and Console would be amazing and improve overall game quality and storytelling a huge amount, as it would remove tons of loading screens making you want to play for longer and enjoy the overall experience a lot more. Loading screens don’t immerse you into the game, so getting rid of them will make the game feel more real, like the “life simulation” it is supposed to be.
