Why this petition matters

Started by Ngaro

We, the undersigned respectfully request that New Zealand declines to sign the UN migration compact.

We do not believe it should be illegal to criticize migration and neither do we think it is a fundamental human right for people from other countries to come to our country and take advantage of our social services, education system, health care and any other amenities.

We are concerned about potential impact on wages and employment opportunities for our own children, we are concerned about the erosion of our own culture, we are concerned about the spread of diseases that are not yet common here, about international crime syndicates and above all we are deeply concerned by the apparent lack of candor on shown by our elected representatives.

In our opinion extending hospitality to others must remain at our nations sovereign discretion.
