Over 25% of Gypsies and Travellers are already homeless.
Essex Council are about to make that statistic even worse. Without any consultation Essex Council have decided to sell off the Gypsy and Traveller sites to private Landlords. We have already been told that the rents will be raised to more than you can socially rent a 2 bedroom semi detached house in the area. We have also been told the long term plan is to close the sites.
Please help us to keep our homes, many of our families need have never lived anywhere else.
Please help us to save our sites. We dont want to be living on playing fields and car parks
if we do it will be hard as we will have no rubbish collection, no schools for our children no doctors and no toilets or fresh water and this will just make things worse for all of us
