Why this petition matters

Started by Mason Carr

Introduced in McDonald's Menus in 1981, the McRib was a sandwich served with Barbecue flavored boneless pork patty, a homestyle roll for the bun, pickles, McRib sauce, & silvered onions. The McRib didn't do well in sales when it first came to McDonald's menus, and was removed in 1985. But after that, it gained a cult following from customers, and McDonald's since after then added it as a permanent menu item at locations in Germany & Luxembourg, and even featured at a limited time menu items from time to time in the United States. For Canada, the McRib was on the Canadian menus from June 21 to August 1, 2011, and then again in 2014 & 2015, and after then, the McRib never returned to Canada. But a couple years later, the McRib has been coming back to US McDonald's menus for a limited time, and for Canada, there's some bad news. McDonald's Canada was asked on twitter if they would bring the McRib back to Canadian menus, and they replied with bad news in 2017. "Unfortunately the McRib will not be making its way to Canada. We apologize for the inconvenience." And then a year later in 2018. "The McRib will not be making a comeback to Canada right now as this is not in our plans, and it will be available only at participating locations in the US. We'll let our team know that you'd like to see it on our menu. Thanks for reaching out!" And we could change that so we could see the sandwich make a comeback in Canada. Canadians would love to see the McRib return, even if it's for a limited time at McDonald's locations in Canada. And as of for me, I would love to try this sandwich too. For all McRib lovers out there, let's let McDonald's Canada know that we want this cult classic McDonald's menu item, the McRib, back in the McDonald's Canada menu!
