The City of Mountain View is embarking on a once-in-a-generation opportunity to completely redesign the Rengstorff Pool. The feedback we have both given and heard from our fellow community members is that people from all over the city would like to see a 50 meter pool built as part of the project. A 50 meter pool is crucial to endurance training for competitive swim teams and masters swimmers. The range of depth in a larger pool would allow for everything from youth swim lessons to senior aqua classes, water polo, underwater rugby and hockey, and more lanes to accommodate lap swimmers.

Mountain View is a growing, thriving city full of people leading active, healthy lifestyles. The city should be committed to steering this project to meeting the needs of as many people within the community as possible, and incorporating a 50 meter pool into the project satisfies the most needs.
