Why this petition matters

Started by Arjun Shahani

My Brother in law, Girish, an Indian Citizen from Mumbai, is stuck at Accra, Ghana

His wife, Rupali, is tested Covid 19 Positive & is in serious condition back home in Mumbai. Also his son & his mother-in-law are Covid 19 positive but asymptomatic.

The larger issue is Girish's & Rupali's  9 years old daughter, is a RETT syndrome patient , who suddenly has no known faces taking care of her . Due to this , she is getting regular Seizure . She is now under care with Girish's mom (78 years old) & my son who are trying their best to take care of her, but facing serious challenges, as she is without her Mother, Brother (both hospitalised) & her Father who is stuck at Accra , Ghana.

Girish has been in touch with High Commissioner office at Accra, who have been very considerate & are trying to help him. They have flagged the issue to Ministry of External affairs (MEA), India. I request MEA India office to please advice High Commissioner office to make transport arrangement for Girish to travel to India. We understand that all commercial flights are not operational due to Covid restriction, however freighter  and cargo planes are operating and can help him to reach India, as a special case or any other way , they deem fit.

The  Government of India has been known to support its citizen & we hope they will fully support Girish & his family in this time of difficulty.

Jai Hind.
