We respectfully request that private boating marinas be allowed to open with a plan in place to maintain social distancing while employees and customers work on, launch and occupy their boats. We request this be allowed as soon as possible so that people can prepare their boats for the summer season and enjoy their hobby/passion that they have invested so much money in to. The boating industry is a pride point in Michigan and contributes significantly to the economy. We believe that Michigan should follow all the other great lake states and allow boaters access to their boats and let them practice social distancing by staying home on their boats and staying safe.
