We, the faithful Catholic laymen of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Phoenix, in communion with our Bishop-His Excellency Thomas Olmsted, voice our opposition in charity to the upcoming COVID-19 “vaccine” drive scheduled at the Ss. Simon and Jude Cathedral School on Saturday, 14 August 2021.

We recognize that this may constitute or give the appearance that the cathedral, and thereby our bishop and diocese as promoting Catholic men, women, and our children to receive injected therapeutics created and/or performed in confirmation testing by the use of aborted baby fetal cells.

We also recognize that the distance from the initial murder(s) to relieve ourselves today of a virus with over a 99% recovery will not suffice in our day of judgement.

We further recognize the absence of this moral reality stated on the public flyer and parish bulletin.  We therefore pray and urge His Excellency, the Rector of the Cathedral, and all clergy and/or laymen responsible to immediately withdraw Catholic support for this drive on cathedral and any planned future diocesan grounds or schools; and provide a clarification without any ambiguity on Catholic moral teaching and doctrine so the faithful may make an well informed decision.
