Why this petition matters

Started by Eugenia Barnett

I pledge Inspector General of Police, Mr. Muhammed A. Adamu, NPM, to release an innocent young man Austin Ezeakona Achokuba known also as Augustine Achokoba (as written in the petition from his Lawyers sent to you on 15th February 2021), as he is clearly an innocent man.

Austin is indeed a true victim of malicious slander and mafia style behaviour of Emmanuel  Ugochukwu Madummeli and his wife, Uzor Ugochukwu Madummeli. There are living witnesses in Abuja to Austin character and innocence and from the word of his uncle below his good character is obvious too - Austin made a lot of money for his master over 6 years but, some people never have enough! Now this vicious ploy is set up to steal all what Austin family own and more.

This kind of behaviour is bad, but the way Austin was arrested is totally illegal and unacceptable by Law anywhere - the way a CIVIL case has been handled by the Police is simply outrageous and not following the Law of Nigeria.

I pledge you look at this case as it should be amended asap - an innocent man is in prison for nothing! I appreciate you would not know everything what is happening in a country as large as Nigeria but Police literally abducted a citizen without a trial here! This, sadly, does not fit into the objectives you have set in your public speech I read online, particularly in the chapter 4: "It is my firm conviction, therefore, that if the quality personnel potentials of the Force are blended with purposeful and motivational leadership at strategic levels within the organizational hierarchy of the Force, the lost glory of the Nigeria Police Force which remains a concern to governments at all levels, citizens, human rights groups, the international community and indeed well-meaning officers and men of the Force shall be restored."

Please read what happened below and support Austin for he is an innocent an

Yours faithfully

Achokube and David families, Nigeria

What happened according to Achokuba and David family:

"The problem between Austin Ezeakona Achokuba of Aguleri in Anambra state (servant) and Emmanuel Ugochukwu Madummeli of Nneeka in Anambra state (master). These two people entered into master and servant agreement (apprenticeship) in 2013.

A lady whose name is Uzor the wife of Emmanuel Ugochukwu Madummeli approached Mrs. Deborah who was a member of living faith church Canaan land Ota requesting for her to help them get a good person who will help them in a trading of building materials as apprentice, who approached Mr. David Theophilus Chukwubueze (Pastor) a zonal pastor at Era living faith branch on the account to help them get a good person who will serve the family of Emmanuel Ugochukwu Madummeli for five years. Pastor David Theophilus Chukwubueze after due consultation with both sister Deborah and Uzor Ugochukwu Madummeli accepted to provide for them a person from his family on the agreement that, the person will deligently serve them for five years and after that, Uzor Ugochukwu Madummeli will settle the person to do his own business.

This was how Austin Ezeakona Achokuba who is a cousin of Pastor David Theophilus Chukwubueze was brought to Ugochukwu Madummeli family.

Austin Ezeakona Achokuba started helping them and within 5 years raised for Ugochukwu Madummeli family some profits from the building materials fund which they used to build their personal house now FESTAC town Lagos state Nigeria, and raised a capital that build two building materials companies for Ugochukwu Madummeli family. After the five years agreement expired which requires of Ugochukwu Madummeli family to settle (free) Austin Ezeakona Achokuba, the family requested that Austin Ezeakona Achokuba should serve them for another one year which Austin Ezeakona Achokuba did.

For these past five years, Ugochukwu Madummeli family didn't found Austin Ezeakona Achokuba a criminal.

Additionally, for another one year of extra service Austin Ezeakona Achokuba wasn't caught in any crime until November 2019 - when Austin Ezeakona Achokuba was due for settlement.

Only then Emmanuel Ugochukwu Madummeli sent area command police to arrest Austin Ezeakona Achokuba allegedly for that Austin Ezeakona Achokuba and some other apprentice made away from his company account a sum of #700,000,000 (Seven hundred million Naira).

From there was a transfer of the case to Alagbo, federal police in Lagos, which the said money found in Uzor Ugochukwu Madummeli's account, the wife of Emmanuel Ugochukwu Madummeli. The case was charged to court (Igbesere magistrate court Lagos) and Austin Ezeakona Achokuba was granted bail. The case stayed for two years, and Emmanuel Ugochukwu Madummeli who decided that his wife should not be adjourned in the case after sent her wife to abroad turn back again on 24th January 2021 and use the federal criminal investigation police from Abuja Nigeria to re-arrest Austin Ezeakona Achokuba on the account that those who filed the case originally did not follow due process and that the 13 people involved including police officers must be arrested.

For nearly a month now dumped Austin Ezeakona Achokuba in the awaiting trial without further arrest of the remaining people, without charging the case to court as promised by Emmanuel Ugochukwu Madummeli that as far as he has money that he will use police to kill Austin Ezeakona Achokuba and nobody stops him and nothing will happen.

David Theophilus Chukwubueze"
