Across the country, over millions of American college students are faced with a financial crisis nationwide. With many colleges and universities closed down, college students from low income backgrounds find it even more difficult to pay for tuition. The COVID-19 pandemic has left many low-income students to withdraw from school or battle the stress of finding internet access and housing on campus grounds while attending classes.

Low income students are suffering the most due to the covid-19 pandemic and are reconciled with the fact that they either spent their remaining savings on essentials or tuition, leaving some students to drop out of classes to maintain housing and essentials. Many low income students enrolled in college most likely applied for financial aid, but with the pandemic still being a concern around the world and many colleges and universities are closed, so many college students are left in the dark about the future of their education, and it is even more harder for low income college students to face this obstacle without financial support.

As a former college student, I had to enroll in city colleges so I could receive my college education due to financial issues. If you want every American citizen to have the right to an affordable education, please sign this petition. Let the U.S. Department of Education know how valuable an education is to everyone. Once you sign this petition, you are not only using your voice but you're giving a voice to all the American students who suffer from financial issues, especially due to COVID-19. After signing the petition, please contact your local council members, state legislature, and congressperson and ask if they could please help struggling American college students with their college tuition by going to Washington and ask to disperse a stimulus for the American college students who are struggling throughout the pandemic. If this petition succeeds, this would help over millions of American college students who are struggling with financial assistance for college tuition receive the help they need from the U.S. Department of Education so they can obtain a brighter future.
