Give us back the National Pokedex.
Give us back the National Pokedex.
Why this petition matters
Today, on June 11, 2019, at E3, Nintendo announced that the only Pokemon that can be transferred to the new Sword and Shield games coming out in November of 2019 will be Pokemon available in the new regional Pokedex.
Their reasoning was that there are 800+ Pokemon now available and that it would be difficult to incorporate them all into the new games.
Dear Nintendo: We. Do. Not. Care.
Your development team has focused on creating new features, such as the Dynamax phenomenon and Pokemon HOME and Pokemon Sleep. I believe I speak for all the undersigned that we can gladly do without all of those if you give us the National Pokedex and the ability to have all 800+ Pokemon in the game.
You have also moved to a new console. Are you honestly telling us that the Nintendo Switch is not powerful enough to allow us to have all 800+?
We the undersigned believe that you can do better. Many of us have spent years collecting Pokemon that we want to use in the new games. Many of us have spent hours and days breeding Pokemon for competitive battles such as your own VGC. This policy is an insult to those of us who have invested time into Pokemon as a hobby and a competition, and we demand it be rectified.
