Subject: European Federation of XR professionals

Dear XR Professionals in Europe,

We have been working together for several years in an innovative and promising sector. We bring together similar skills, applied to many different fields (art, cinema, video games, serious games, communication, training, BtoB...). XR -and its strongest components (VR, AR, IA …)- has become a media itself.

Our companies, at the cutting-edge of technology, often undergoing research and development, represent a considerable activity in Europe.However, these evolutions taking place in each European country aren’t known well enough, their impact in terms of innovation and employment isn’t taken in consideration and good practices are not shared.

In October 2018 in Angoulême, France, a work group was founded, at the initiative of participants of XR events Immersity and Courant 3D. The spokespersons were Milosz Hermanowicz (Poland) and François Bouille (France). The conclusions have demonstrated the willingness of the XR actors to come together in a European federation whose representatives will be elected, working groups (for topics already identified or yet to be identified) will be created and board meetings will determine the actions of the federation. The XR professionals already involved have joined on Facebook and Linkedin in the groups: "For a European federation of XR professionals."

We hereby give our support to this initiative and join this future association as founding member. The official creation of the federation will be undertaken when at least 50 founding members are gathered.

We appoint our peers Milosz Hermanowicz (Poland), François Bouille (France), Sergio Ochoa (England), Mathieu Gayet (France), Jean-Louis Decoster (Belgique), Charles-Henri Marraud des Grottes (France), Armando Matijević (Croatia), Krasimir Nikolov (Bulgaria) to found this federation in the form of an official organisation and to temporarily sit at the board until a founding general assembly will allow the election of representatives. The temporary board is in charge of drafting the statutes of the organisation which will be submitted to the founding members to obtain their approval by majority (+ 50%). The board may undertake any action to structure the federation, with the approval of the founding members.
