It recently came out that the Fullerton Arboretum is at risk is being demolished to make room for more dorms on the Cal State Fullerton campus. This a place I hold near and dear to my heart. It is somewhere I know most people from Fullerton have visited at least once. Maybe for a wedding, a field trip, a farmers market, a cooking class, or just to relax. It supplies produce to non profits around the community. It has welcomed the Dalai Lama, Bill Nye and the worlds largest flower. It has given kids of the neighborhood a fundamental understanding of most ecosystems in California and a better understanding of how to be friendlier to the environment. In a time where science needs a win more than ever I ask you to please show your support. There will be a rally held April 10th at 10 am at  CSUF. 

PUBLIC FORUM UPDATE:

To accommodate broad interest from across campus, we have extended the hours of the upcoming Campus Master Plan Open House. All campus employees, students, alumni and community members are invited to visit the Clayes Performing Arts Center Lobby between 10:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 10, 2019.

 

Your input is needed as we refine this vital blueprint for providing a safe, sustainable and welcoming learning environment that supports student success into the future.

 

Two brief presentations are scheduled, at 10:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., giving an overview of the Campus Master Plan and a status report on next steps. The event will also feature interactive displays, refreshments, meet-and-greets with the Campus Master Plan team, and ample opportunities to provide your feedback on final options.

 

Guest parking will be available in the Nutwood Parking Structure, with details on the Campus Master Plan website.
