STOP BRENT COUNCIL FROM CLOSING DOWN FOREST UNITED YOUTH FOOTBALL CLUB
STOP BRENT COUNCIL FROM CLOSING DOWN FOREST UNITED YOUTH FOOTBALL CLUB
Why this petition matters
Brent Council have REFUSED to give Forest United permission, to use the John Billam and Tenterden Sports Grounds which has been the club's home grounds since 1973. Please support our children who love to play football and save our dear Forest United by signing this petition.
Forest United Youth Football Club has been supporting children in the local community children since 1973. Currently they support 150+ children by training them and playing grassroots football and KEEPING CHILDREN FIT AND OUT OF TROUBLE and promoting the national sports of the UK.
Brent Council have also refused to give Forest United a permanent base for the club. Billions are being spent on regeneration by the Council but the Council is unable to give Forest United a definitive permamant home at a place where the club has been based for decades. See picture of the structure which is supposed to be the clubhouse but has stood condemned for decades.
Brent Council have issued planning permission to a French School to build a facility on the grounds and give Forest United a Club House but this has been going on for over 10 years now and Forest United will only get a short term lease to use the building if it is ever built and not a permanent base for the club. Wembley Park has been regenerated in record time but smaller community based projects like this are overlooked. This is effectively being used by the Council to turf out small clubs who do not have a voice. The Brent MPs , The Brent Councillors , The Executive Team of Brent Council need to wake up and start supporting the communities who need them.
Please sign this petition to stop Brent Council's unfair practices and help save Forest United Youth FC ESTABLISHED IN 1973.
