Gentile Sindaco Giuseppe Sala,
Noi crediamo fermamente che lei sia una persona di cuore. Per noi famiglie e ballerini lo Spirit de Milan in zona Bovisa è qualcosa di speciale dove si celebra non solo la musica e il ballo, ma anche la gioia, aggregazione tra diverse culture e generazioni, la buona educazione, la cultura Milanese, la cucina Italiana, un posto dove genitori e bimbi possono divertirsi assieme, un posto dove abbiamo trovato un modo di socializzare pulito e d’altri tempi quasi dimenticati.

Le chiediamo di intercedere per noi nella macchina della burocrazia Italiana. Rivogliamo lo Spirit de Milan e la casa dello Swing’n Milan e la preghiamo di AIUTARCI. Il locale è alla terza settimana di chiusura, in quanto sono in attesa dell'autorizzazione definitiva per il cambio destinazione d'uso dei locali. La licenza temporanea che il locale aveva, è scaduta, ma la procedura per quelle definitiva non è ancora terminata e per chi lavora allo Spirit de Milan ogni giorno che passa è una stilettata: hanno 40 dipendenti e un importante affitto da pagare. Non hanno nessuno alle spalle che li finanzia, ma si sostengono solo con il loro lavoro.

PROSSIMO WEEKEND 11, 12, 13, 14 Ottobre sarà la settima edizione di Swing’n’Milan, un festival non solo di musica e ballo, ma soprattutto di anime e di persone capaci di rendere quattro giorni un momento incredibile di condivisione. Persone da ogni parte del mondo si trovano in una location unica.

Loro sono allo stremo ma continuano a resistere e ti preghiamo di aiutarli,

---------------------- ENGLISH VERSION WITH DETAILS ABOUT THE SITUATION. WE NEED SUPPORT FROM THE DANCE INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY 

Hi name is Krystal, for those who don’t know me, I have been a passionate swing dancer for 8 years. I learned to dance in Milan 8 years ago, the scene was quite different (as in many other cities in the world), not many places where to dance and we were not that many at that time. However the things changed quickly and in a positive way in the last years.  A friend of mine called Luca Locatelli found a gorgeous forgotten building to use as a HOME for many dancers (not only swing dancers). It is a beautiful industrial recovered building from 1921 and It used to be a glass factory. 

The name of the place is SPIRIT DE MILAN, since it became a social hub for many, not only dancers but as well families that want to enjoy music, cultural activities related to the dance and Milanese food.

Their license has expired 3 weeks ago and the are trapped in the machine of the Italian bureaucracy. Despite their efforts to make the renewal, they are still closed.  The biggest problem is that THIS Thursday 10th October they should be hosting SWING N MILAN, the only swing festival in the City and they were forced to find another home to host it. 

The help I need from you is only a SIGNATURE in the petition made to Milan’s Mayor to help them sort out their license.
