Petition for Notion to give us more control over what happens to the notes we create
Why this petition matters
In light of what happened with Adobe’s Lightroom on iPadOS and iOS, we, PAPERLESS BEINGS are petitioning that Notion (an online web-based note-taking app) gives us (ALL-users) more control over our notes.
Notion is a web-based note-taking app that saves users’ notes on their servers. They don’t give users the ability to store their notes locally on their devices. To export your notes out of the app (in a readable format) you must pay $20/month for the enterprise plan. This model feels like Notion is trapping users’ notes in their app and on their servers.
Should anything happen to their servers, millions of users risk losing years of their notes. We are writing this petition for Notion to allow us (their users) to be able to:
1. Share our notes out of the app in a readable format that can be opened by other note-taking apps (PDF format of our notes as they appear in the app).
2. Backup our notes to Cloud services of our choices in readable formats.
Keep local copies of our notes on our devices.
3. We would like more control over our information that we are creating in their app.
Thank you for signing, for the love of digital productivity :)
