The French version of “In praise of Blood” authored by the Canadian Judi Rever is due to be published by the French publishing house Max Milo by the end of August 2020 under the title: “Rwanda, l’éloge du sang”.

For a number of years, Judi Rever has settled into the cluster of distorters of the history of the Genocide against the Tutsi. While presenting herself as a journalist risking her life in order to bring a supposedly hidden truth to the world, she disseminates her misleading theories in various high profile media.

Whenever the author agrees to admit that Tutsi were massacred in Rwanda in 1994, it is in reality to affirm that they were massacred by other Tutsi! This consistently affirmed rejection of the evidence accumulated since 1994 by both international bodies - whose conclusions she carelessly sweeps away- and by robust research in social sciences- whose approaches she carelessly overlooks- is an obvious denial of the genocide against the Tutsi.

Indeed, what term apart from that of negationism reflects best a process aimed at exonerating the actual perpetrators of genocide by transferring the responsibility of its planning, initiation and perpetration to those who put an end to it? What other term can best describe a "work" aimed at creating confusion in the understanding of genocide crime, a “work” founded in conspiracy-based conceptual development.

Should we recall once again that negationism is not an opinion but a criminal offense which is punishable by law on the penal side and which unacceptable on the moral side because it insults the memory of the victims and offends the survivors, thus harming their dignity?

How can we continue to accept this disrespect which is nothing else than recurrent racism? Should we agree that "in those countries, a genocide is not too important" as François Mitterrand once said?

Much as Judi Rever is solely responsible for her delusions, by making her voice resound and by legitimizing it publicly, Max Milo which arrogantly claims to be “provocative for the right cause” is making itself an accomplice of a sordid undertaking whose consequences are not limited to the abstract confrontation between "censors" and "defenders of freedom of opinion".

La traduction française de "In praise of Blood" de la Canadienne Judi Rever doit être publiée par la maison d’édition française Max Milo d’ici la fin du mois d’août 2020 sous le titre Rwanda, l’éloge du sang.

Depuis quelques années, Judi Rever s’est installée dans la nébuleuse des faussaires de l’histoire du génocide contre les Tutsis. Tout en se présentant comme une journaliste risquant sa vie pour porter au monde une vérité supposément dissimulée, elle développe ses thèses fallacieuses dans divers médias bien en vue. 

Si elle consent à reconnaître que des Tutsis ont été massacrés en 1994 au Rwanda c’est pour mieux affirmer qu’ils l’ont été par d’autres Tutsis ! Ce rejet caractérisé des preuves accumulées depuis 1994 par les instances internationales – dont elle balaye allègrement les conclusions – et par les travaux menés en sciences sociales – dont elle bafoue allègrement les méthodes – est un déni évident du génocide contre les Tutsis.

En effet, quel terme à part celui de négationnisme s’accorde avec un procédé visant à exonérer les bourreaux effectifs d’un génocide pour en reporter l’organisation, le déclenchement et la perpétration sur ceux qui y mirent fin ? Quel autre terme peut désigner de la meilleure manière un « travail » visant à rendre confuse la lecture d’un crime de génocide en se fondant sur un édifice conceptuel complotiste ?

Faut-il rappeler, une fois de plus, que le négationnisme n’est pas une opinion mais un délit réprimé par la loi sur le plan pénal et intolérable sur le plan moral car il insulte la mémoire des victimes et offense les survivants portant ainsi atteinte à leur dignité ?

Comment peut-on encore accepter ce mépris qui n’est rien d’autre qu’un racisme récurrent ? Sommes-nous donc d’accord que « Dans ces pays-là, un génocide ce n’est pas trop important » comme l’aurait dit François Mitterrand ?

Judi Rever est seule responsable de ses élucubrations mais en faisant résonner sa voix, en la légitimant publiquement Max Milo, qui se targue de « provoquer à juste titre », se fait plutôt complice d’une entreprise sordide dont les conséquences ne se résument pas à l’affrontement abstrait entre « censeurs » et « défenseurs de la liberté d’opinion ».
