Today I witnessed a young girl trying to jump off the Itchen bridge trying to kill herself. Sadly you hear about these stories so frequently and it is heart breaking to know a lot of them do and take their life. The Itchen Bridge gets so much money from tolls everyday, and despite the toll increases not enough has been done to keep people safe.

Unfortunately it is quite easy for people to climb over therefore there should be barriers built to stop these people taking their lives. It doesn’t just affect that 1 person and their family and friends it affects the people walking and driving over at the time.
Watching this today was very disturbing and I am grateful the young girl is in the right hands now if I did not stop when I did it would of been to late so I am very thankful for her listening.

SO PLEASE … EVERYONE please sign this petition to get barriers or something to help stop the suicides and jumpers on the Itchen Bridge Southampton. There have been OVER 200 deaths. Southampton City Council listen to us and our community and do something about it !!!
