Recently the Biden-Harris transition announced the creation of a COVID-19 Advisory Board ( https://buildbackbetter.com/press-releases/biden-harris-transition-announces-covid-19-advisory-board/ ). This Board is an impressive and highly qualified group of health care experts that will effectively shape the direction of the federal response to the pandemic. However, this Board does not include a nurse.

There is a call for nurses to improve the health of communities and the nation through service on boards                                              ( www.nursesonboardscoalition.org ). It is imperative nurses have a seat at this table.  This Advisory Board would benefit from the unique perspective from nurses who work with COVID-19 patients and pandemic issues on front lines, in the community, and in many other capacities.
