The more we learn about ants we find that keeping them is not just putting them in a glass case and leaving them be. Like Keeping any other animal as mankind we must learn to keep these animals as we would any other animal. Insects are looked down upon because they seem gross and damage our homes and food. If they are kept properly we can study them more efficiently and can better understand their habits. 

NASA created a Gel Farm to study their behavior in space and some companies all across the world are allowing these Gel Farms to be sold. The Ant Keeping community has a voice and we want these Gel Farms banned from being sold in the United States of America. 

Reasons why they should be banned.

1. The Gel is not nutritious for the Ants.

2. The Gel Farm essentially is a death trap for the ants, Note on the Instructions it says to open the small hole on the lid to give the ants some air. (You wouldn't only give your dog or cat air only once a week) Also, there is no way to give them the food and water that they need to survive. 

3. You are taking Ants from Wild Colonies to put in these Gel Farms, which can harm the Wild Colony.

4. People who buy these nests are putting the Ants in danger, these companies are selling these things without caring for the wildlife they in danger.
