Why this petition matters

Started by Jordan Allender

Bobby Driscoll was a child star we all knew and loved. whether we knew it was him or not. He was in some of Disney's biggest films of the 1940s and 50s film such as Song of the South, So Dear to My Hear, and of course Peter Pan with the latter playing the voice of the title character. A voice none of us will ever forget. He is an unforgettable piece of what made the films of that time so memorable.

Bobby may have not had the happiest end to his life he went from academy award-winning actor to dead at 31 years of age in an abandoned building in New Yorks lower east side due to drug addiction. But that should not deter a studio from honoring this great actor.

A film was made to uncover all the stories of Bobby Driscoll's past, to honor and show his life in the truest way.

Disney Studios has decided to not remember and pay homage to their first child star. Disney has a Hall of Fame for its employees who made a significant impact on the companies past called the Disney Legends and Bobby Driscoll is not enshrined there. This petition is to bring awareness to people as well as the Disney Studios. To finally, put their former star in the place he deserves the Disney Legends Plaza.
