It has never been clearer that the world is facing an unprecedented climate and ecological emergency.  We are proud that Charlbury, Woodstock, Leafield, and Witney Town Councils, for instance, have declared a climate emergency and that their Climate Emergency Committees are actively taking steps to reduce their carbon footprints. But we can’t solve this problem solely on a local level: we need Government action to bring about the change that is needed.  We are calling on Robert Courts to support the CEE Bill, so that we can combat the worst effects of the emergency, both now and for generations to come. 

 The CEE Bill will: 

Ensure that the UK reduces greenhouse gas emissions in line with its legal obligations to limit global heating to 1.5°C.
Account for our entire carbon footprint in calculating emissions.
Protect nature and actively conserve ecosystems to reverse the decline in biodiversity. 
Give ordinary people a real say on solutions in a legally binding citizens' assembly. 

 Robert Courts, we ask you to take urgent action to avert a climate and ecological catastrophe.  In your capacity as our elected representative in Parliament, please support the Climate and Ecological Emergency Bill (CEE Bill).   Please help to protect our futures, and the futures of our children.
