Cornell's Alpha Phi sorority chapter hosted an underground and secretive basement party of more than one hundred girls, with zero social distancing, mask wearing, or consideration for our university on Cornell's PHC Bid Day this year, on February 28th 2021.

Disciplinary hearings and punishments are currently underway for many sororities with minor Behavioral Compact violations that occurred on this same day. However, despite houses with smaller issues being punished, Alpha Phi has been released from investigation and punishment and will face no consequences for the risks they posed to this university and the city of Ithaca.

This event is known to have occurred with confirmation from girls who were in attendance and those who witnessed it, despite the university "not having evidence" for grounds for punishment. Other houses are being fined and penalized for having adhered to PHC's rules with slight deviance or human error, and Alpha Phi's egregious disregard for the health and well-being of our community is being ignored.
