Wattpad Forums has been my second home for a long time, and I doubt that I'm the only one who feels that way. Wattpad has recently decided to abolish the forums because "the Forums are not working for [us], and more importantly, are not creating the type of space [Wattpad] want for [us]" (Wattpad). The result is that Wattpad has decided to put the forums on read only mode starting today, and to abolish it completely on August 12, 2020.

In the few hours that Wattpad has released their statement, I've seen many Wattpadders complain and protest. The main Wattpad website is not a good substitute for the forums. What would we do if we need beta readers, editors, and designers without the forums?
