In a disturbing press conference, captain Jay Baker of the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office said that suspect Robert Aaron Long “was pretty much fed up and at the end of his rope,” adding, “Yesterday was a really bad day for him, and this is what he did.”

Baker also said that Long told the investigators he has “sexual addiction” issues and targeted the spas to “take out that temptation.” Despite the fact a korean sole surviver witness reported that he deliberately said "I will kill all asians."

The Internet later found out that captain Jay Baker held a recent racial prejudice agains the asian community as he earlier posted racist content on social media. His racist posts included blaming China for the Covid-19 pandemic, the same type of rhetoric that has fueled a horrific surge in violence against Asian-Americans.

Jay baker swore an oath to protect the people of Cherokee county, however his racist bias has put Asian members of his community at risk. He needs to resign.
