The Speed limit on Several Road (A1120) through Saxtead Greed is 60mph. There are 3 major junctions, access to the English Heritage site of Saxtead Post Mill, a large bend, residents’ access roads and the Green itself in the space of 200m. Residents and visitors need to cross this road, which has no footpath, to use the green and access the mill.  
The current speed limit is clearly unsafe and needs a to be lowered. Suffolk Council’s own highways policy if applied to this stretch of road recommends a 30mph speed limit.
