When was the last time you thought about Mrs. Claus? We mean really thought of her – how she spends her time, what she’s in charge of at the North Pole, what changes she might want to see, or make, in the world… if the answer isn’t “recently,” you’re not alone.  
 
A new national poll revealed that 68 percent of American parents think Mrs. Claus deserves more credit than she gets throughout the holiday season, and 57 percent of parents feel Mrs. Claus is the real brains behind the North Pole gift-giving operation.  
 
But that’s not the story we’ve been told and sold. Wikipedia tells us that Mrs. Claus “is known for making cookies with the elves, caring for the reindeer, and preparing toys with her husband.”  
 
We know she deserves a better story—a new narrative. She deserves more, because she is more. She’s not just baking cookies and keeping fireplaces lit. No. She’s lighting fires within – inspiring, encouraging and warming the hearts of those of us who need it most. Because she’s not just one person. She’s the spirit that lives within mothers everywhere.  
 
She’s just like the moms, aunts, sisters and friends in our own lives. She cares, she gives, she hustles – she’s holding stuff together, keeping it real, and being a badass on behalf of her family every single day. And just like Mrs. Claus, moms everywhere carry this responsibility for their families. Seventy-four percent of moms told us that they provide most of the emotional support and work come the holiday season.  
 
It’s time Mrs. Claus reflects this version of herself – this version of society’s most selfless givers. 
 
In fact, 58 percent of American parents agree with us, saying that Mrs. Claus needs to be modernized and reclaimed by moms. But, they aren’t surprised Mrs. Claus has been so underestimated throughout the years. Fifty-five percent of parents surveyed believe Mrs. Claus made her debut nearly 50 years after Santa because women are historically undervalued. 
 
That changes *now.* Let’s give Mrs. Claus the credit and the story that she’s long deserved.
