On December 4th, 2019, CDPR announced that they would be discontinuing support for their online card game Gwent for consoles (Playstation & Xbox).  They announced that as of December 9th, the console versions would no longer receive content updates or have the ability to match with other platforms, but that the game would still be operational until June 9th, 2020.

While disheartened, most of the console playerbase understood the reasoning for the server shutdown and appreciated the 6 month notice.  On December 9th, CDPR patched out arena mode (unannounced), disabling 4 trophies/achievements, and days later, patched out ranked/season mode (also unannounced), disabling 2 more trophies/achievements in addition to the platinum trophy.

After months of trying to communicate and plead with CDPR, the best explanation we got was that to continue developing/adjusting Gwent on the other platforms, consoles essentially had to be cut off.  Requests to enable non-cross platform arena and ranked/season mode have essentially fallen on deaf ears.

These actions have damaged the CDPR reputation in the eyes of a number of their console fanbase as we feel betrayed, and with some promising to boycott future CDPR games, there is potential for some financial damage via lost sales. 

THIS CAN STILL BE FIXED. 

CDPR is still actively updating Gwent on the other platforms, but because re-enabling the disabled features is not going to happen, please consider one final patch to change the requirements for the affected trophies/achievements.  The following bolded portions are suggestions for the affected:

Kicking Up Dust - Play 1 ranked game OR play 1 game with each faction

Trouper - Reach rank 20 OR win 20 games with each faction

Deal With the Devil - Play 1 arena game OR play 1 game with each faction ability

Dupe the Devil - Complete 1 arena run OR win 1 game with each faction ability

Apple of His Eye - Complete an arena run with at least 6 wins OR win 6 games with each faction ability

Traditionalalist - Have 3 copies of the same card in an arena deck OR have 3 copies of at least 1 card for each faction
