Due to the travel restrictions, Indians with admits to universities in Spain are looking at a bleak future. We are looking for your support to help us during these unprecedented times. Your support is needed for students and employees who are desperately waiting for some ease in the travel restrictions.  

International students have had to endure the extreme stress of coping with managing their careers and employees with the risk of losing their employment offers.

This pandemic has a global impact, however, other countries around the continents and in the EU have made a clear response regarding students from India, countries like Germany, Ireland, France have started providing visas to Indian students and employees. We request you to take into consideration the request of all Indian students as many of us have already left jobs in India and forgone other opportunities to start a new future in Spain. Many of us have also taken loans to fund our education and stay for the next few years in Spain. 

We pledge to comply with all the quarantine rules as well as follow all the COVID19 appropriate behavior on our arrival to the final destination in Spain as well as throughout the journey. 

All of us are fully vaccinated or will be fully vaccinated before traveling to Spain. We humbly request you to understand our plight and appeal for your attention in this matter. 

Indian students and employment holders should be exempted from the Spanish travel ban because:

We are not traveling for leisure or looking for opportunities. We all have an admission from universities in Spain. We are traveling to create a better future for ourselves and our families and have already invested considerable funds for the same.
We will come fully vaccinated, with a negative RT-PCR test before boarding the flight, undergo strict 10 days quarantine, and get tested multiple times in between as per the guidelines in Spain.
EU recommends exemption of students from travel bans and all of Spain’s neighboring countries have exempted students, including The Netherlands, Switzerland, France, Poland, Austria. Even the USA has allowed Indian students. We understand that Spain is an independent country and will make it's own decisions.

We request the Spanish Embassy in India to start processing student visas as soon as possible. Please consider signing this petition to help Indian students and employees get a visa for Spain.
