Only hours after leaving the Labour party claiming that anti-semitism is one of the major reasons for her departure, the honourable member for Penistone and Stockbridge was caught live on air marginalising millions of the electorate by using a racial slur - referring to ethnic minorities as those with "a funny tinge".

As a group that apparently claims to have zero tolerance towards racism and anti-semitism, it is therefore incumbent on the leadership (whoever that might be) of the group to expel Angela Smith from the Independent Group pending an investigation into whether or not the remarks she made on live TV were, indeed, racist.
