Why this petition matters

The LTN in CTrhiswick has caused chaos, along with the CS9 route superhighway. Traffic Jams can now occur any time of day.  A few cars can take ages and tailbacks from Goldhawk Road/Junction of Chiswick High Rd,  to Acton Lane junction are not uncommon.

We call on Hounslow to reverse the LTN, stop any further LTN.  We call on Steve Curran and Hanif Khan to listen to Chiswick residents and businesses.

This affects many people.  Families with kids, where a  car trip is workable.  Taking those less mobile, around Chiswick and nearby places.  Ambulances access  to residents, hampered by single lane high road; Roads cut off.  Likewise for Fire Engines.  Deliveries delayed with detours.  Lack of access from High Road to Bath Road/Southfield Road.

People wishing to take dogs for a walk and enjoy parks to the other side of Turnham Green Terrace.  This is affecting small businesses.

No problem with cycling at all.  Agree with Cycling Campaign - but does not need to cut off the car.   Ironically the measures against the car, will either create more congestion or pollution, or decimate the local shops and businesses.  Livelihoods and way of life that made Chiswick so special - now under threat. Single lane and clumsy design rending it into an eyesore.

Need to reverse the LTN as other place have, including Wandsworth.  It is a condition of the monies granted by government.

Let's enjoy all forms of transport: Bikes, Cars, Buses, Motorbikes and pedestrians in a fair and balanced way to preserve the special feel of Chiswick. Cancel this LTN and allow people to visit and leave Chiswick easily again.
