Mattel has recently taken their Masters of the Universe property back, and is debuting some beautiful products at this years SDCC. Thousands of fans were excited to see the brand coming back strong. Well, it hasn't even been a week and they have already upset their fan base, and for good reason.

Today, Mattel launched their pre-orders for their MOTU products, but to many fans' disappointment, they were only available to people in attendance of the event. This is a huge blow to the loyal fan base that simply can not attend. This also means the scalper market and reselling prices will no doubt rise, and upset their customers even more.

Many companies now make their items available to both attendees and non-attendees. NECA and Hasbro for example have learned their customers and fans come first.

I propose we let Mattel know it is time for them to put their fans first, and make their properties available to all, if even in limited quantities. These exclusive items can easily be made available to a lucky few that cannot attend. If Mattel hopes to learn from their mistakes, they will hopefully reconsider to make these amazing items available to everyone!
