Attention Mayor De Blasio,

We are all appalled by the killing of George Floyd. We all detest police brutality. 

However, the answer is not to "defund the police," or lessen their funding. 

We are all able to live freely because there is a law of the land. Without law, there would be anarchy. 

Police, as a whole, are good, dedicated people, of all races and faiths, who uphold the law, so we can live in peace. 

Yes, there are some bad police, as there are bad people among every race, ethnicity and group.

Just as we wouldn't paint every member of every race, ethnicity and group as "bad" for the bad among them - so shouldn't we with the police. That would be completely unfair, and unappreciative for the good and vital work they do. 

We need the police! They need complete funding, and even more! Do not defund them or lessen their funding!
