Recently, the Dallas Mavericks disbanded their dance team in favor of a “family friendly entertainment team”. This move makes minimal sense, considering the Mavericks already have other entertainment in addition to the dancers take the floor at halftime and other break periods. These girls are all very hard working and love their job with a passion. It is very unfortunate to see their dream taken away from them just like that with little to no warning. As a fan, I believe the Mavs dancers are a huge part of the Mavericks culture, and think Mark Cuban is making a huge mistake. I’ve seen them at countless games and it has never even remotely crossed my mind that the organization would benefit from having the squad cut. Lets see if we can get enough MFFLs to sign and make the Mavs front office reconsider.
