The project "Caribe Sur Libre De Plastico" of Planet Conservation aims to support the national strategy of Costa Rica to be the first carbon neutral country in 2021 and a single-use plastic free country by 2020, based on the national strategy of replacing single-use plastics, by renewable and compostable alternatives, which the Costa Rican state has been executing since June 2017.

Let us work together to make a positive change for our oceans and dying marine life as a result of our irresponsible actions as human beings.

It has been suggested that if nothing changes, by 2050 there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish. We can not let that happen.

Signing this petition will help us to sensitize both consumers and companies about the commitment we must make to eliminate the use of disposable plastics in the Caribbean such as: straws, plastic bags, disposables, plastic bottles and any other type of material that cannot be reused that causes a harmful impact on nature.
