A huge number of streetlights on the Main Road in Shakaskraal have not been working for a few years. Streetlights that work as they should, help increase visibility at night in an area. This helps in deterring petty crime in an area and will help law enforcement to do their job more effectively. Proper lighting stops "amaphara" from having shadows to hide in. We urge you as the community of Ward 28 to help the DA help you, by signing this petition to speed up the process of making sure that faulty streetlights are attended to urgently and timeously.
