‘Sconset Beach's historic homes, Bluff walk and road to the light house are a beautiful place and special part of Nantucket.  Unfortunately, they are at risk from sea level rise, extreme storms and climate change.

Fortunately, the 'Sconset Bluff geotube project is an environmentally friendly solution that has zero impact on the existing and adjacent beaches. Most importantly, it is carefully monitored and has proven successful at stopping the negative impacts of erosion after major storms for the past seven years.

The geotube project has prevented erosion along the protected area and harm to adjacent beaches, at ZERO cost to the town.

Please support the geotube project and the ongoing efforts to protect Baxter Road, historic houses and Sankaty Light from erosion.
