In light of the tragic death of Atlanta Braves legend Hank Aaron, I believe it would be a great salute to his legacy to rename Truist Park to Hank Aaron Field at Truist Park. In doing so, the title sponsor remains, but the respect that is due to Aaron is not ignored. Aaron is not only a Braves legend, but a philanthropist who changed the landscape of the game of baseball. He inspired youth of all demographics and helped in the deconstruction of racial barriers in the MLB. Hank Aaron’s legacy deserves to live on forever and continue to inspire generations to come. This small gesture is an effort to do so.
