Our children deserve clean air and safe streets. But the roads outside St. Pauls and Alexandra school gates and playgrounds are noisy, polluting and congested at drop-off and pick-up, with idling engines and speeding cars.  Concentrations in pollution cause asthma, cancer and lung disease. We can reduce these risks significantly by closing Alexandra and Prince's road to traffic for just 30 minutes at peak times.  The council is interested in piloting a "School Street" scheme that has been used in other boroughs. Both schools agree in principle.  If parents are on board and you sign this petition, you can make it happen.
