Construction companies in NJ are being hit hard right now! Many of us are seasonal businesses, and our season let off last December. Our Season was barely getting started when we were ordered to shutdown, Phil Murphy is demanding all Construction to stop before we have even yet to begun! Many other States are allowing Asphalt/Construction to still continue, NY, MD and VA, to name a few. In our line of work we are outside in the open air, not in confined spaces! We do not need to be in close proximity with our customers or employees, we do not need to go in their homes nor be in there faces. We work with 400 degree Hot Asphalt when working on their driveways, parking lots, or any other projects we are contracted to do. Lawn Maintenance and Tree Removal companies are still allowed to operate, we would greatly appreciate a waiver! Golf Courses and Liquor Stores are still open, Candy Factories are deemed essential, how are these life sustaining businesses? Please help us, we do not have an endless supply of funds to wait this out. We have employees that have families we are looking out for, as well as our own! Allow us to go back to work and follow any protocols that will ensure the health and safety of our employees and customers!
